Welcome to
The Synthesis Midi Workshop!
Its owner and founder, Mike Klinger,
established the business in 1988 as a resource for music educators and theological
institutions. As a former teacher himself, he felt a need to leave
teaching and address the music technology issues confronting fellow
teachers. A full story of the company's development can be obtained by
clicking on the picture of Mike Klinger above. Three services are currently provided:
1) Music
Technology Workshops (various course
studies at beginning/intermediate & advanced levels)
2) District
In-Service Workshops
3) Music
Software and Hardware Sales at special educational & theological pricing.
The music technology
workshops are offered twice a year. During the summer months, workshops
run from June thru September, Tuesday thru Fridays. During the winter
months, workshops run February thru March and are held on Friday nights
and Saturdays. All workshops are held at the new Mike Klinger Music
Technology Retreat located in Carson, WA (50 miles east of Portland,
OR). District In-Service Workshops can be arranged
anytime of the year at either the retreat center or at the institutions facility.
