Essentials Of Music Technology I
The focus of this course is to introduce the workings of the basic music technology “food groups” available to music educators and how to use these as a curriculum in the classroom by learning and developing lesson plans for them. The "food groups" will consist of: Notation software (Sibelius), Digital Audio/Sequencing (Pro Tools), Music Theory/Ear Training ( Alfred Essentials of Music Theory, Music Ace, Auralia and Musition, and others), Music Improvisation (Band in a Box). All course work conforms to the K-12 National Standards. Students will walk away with a working knowledge of the software/hardware and will have developed lesson plans for their specific classroom needs.
Class Locations:
- Spanish Fork, Utah (Maple Mountain High School)
- June 21-24 (Tues-Fri) from 9-3pm daily
- $395 (Music Tech Economic Recovery Special).Optional SPU (Seattle Pacific University) credit available
